Warm reception. Friendly staff. Large room with great shower and separate tub. Comfy bed. Large TV. Convenient location, beside Kelvingrove Museum, park and Glasgow university. Lots of restaurants and bars within easy walk, mini-spermarket, too. I will return next time I need accommodation in Glasgow.

We stayed for 2 nights in room no.5 - a divine, spacious haven! From the moment we booked right through to reluctantly leaving our experience was wonderful.Greeted with a friendly face and a pot of tea after a long journey we were shown to our room that was ready before the usual check in time. The room had everything you would need and more,a super large comfortable bed, great chairs to sit back and relax in and an inviting deep bath!Breakfast was a feast with loads of options. The decor was attentive to detail as were the hosts. We are relocating to Glasgow and gained some fantastic tips and information that were so helpful. The location is great, we walked and used public transport without any bother. The local cafes and restaurants were all very inviting, we tried the Korean restaurant which was really popular and had great food. The Alamo is a wonderful place to stay and I wouldn\'t hesitate to stay again and I highly recommend you do too!

Seven of us stayed at the Alamo for a three night Glasgow getaway. It\'s the perfect place to stay, in that the Kelvingrove area and nearby west end makes it the best location, and The Alamo itself with delightful owners Steve and Emma is the perfect home from home, with style and comfort, making it the heartwarming antidote to anonymous over-priced hotel chains. We\'ll be back.

We visited this lovely guest house for a one night stop over as we were visiting the SECC for an exhibition. Its a great location, overlooking a lovely park and within minutes of some terrific eating establishments on foot. The room was very comfortable, good bed and small en-suite but all ideal for our needs. We set off after a delicious Scottish breakfast with a big choice of buffet or cooked items. I can certainly recommend staying at The Alamo, very welcoming beautiful / quirky B & B. Plenty to see and do in the area - don\'t miss visiting the magnificent Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum which is a stroll across the park in 5 minutes or so.
Thank you for your lovely feedback :) We hope that we will be able to stay in your hotel in the future. It looks wonderful. Have a season and hope to see you again in the future. Best regards, Emma

We were guests at Alamo Guesthouse for four nights and we enjoyed our stay tremendously. The guesthouse has a lot of character and was tastefully and splendidly decorated during the holiday season. The location is superb and the owners and staff were very friendly. It felt like visiting friends. Each morning we looked forward to a wonderful breakfast that consisted of an extensive buffet, while eggs, etcetera were made to order. On New Year’s Eve the guests were invited to a whiskey tasting. It was a small party with the whole family and guests and they spoilt us to bits with wonderful snacks and drinks. All said and done, this was probably the nicest B&B we ever stayed! Thank you! Just got back from staying here for two nights with my older brother after seeing Marillion in Glasgow. From an architectural point of view, this place is wonderful. It\'s resembles an old Scottish Lairds house with all the modern conveniences you would expect. It\'s easy to find just off Sauchiehall Street near Kelvingrove and is easily served by buses and a few minutes from Glasgow City Centre by Taxi or Car. We were greeted by Steve on arrival. Steve did something that has never happened to me before and I have stayed in a few hotels. He shook our hands, asked about our trip and then showed us around the hotel before finally showing us our rooms. It is only a small hotel, but I thought this was a very nice touch. The room itself was a lovely compact room. We were only sleeping there and watching the occasional bit of TV anyway. The room we were was not en suite (most are, this one wasn\'t) but we had plenty of choices of toilet, shower and bath facilities. Lights are dimmed after 9pm, the official reason is to encourage quiet, however, because of it\'s old fashioned look, I thought it made it more homely. Bed was comfy, had no problems sleeping. Flat screen TV and a selection of 500 DVD and Blu Ray\'s from Steve\'s own personal collection if you require viewing entertainment. (There\'s snooker on, I\'m fine thanks!) Breakfast is half made to order and half buffet. This actually works great. Their breakfasts certainly set you up for the day. I\'ll be back!

On first blush, we felt the property was a little rustic. However the room was very nice and the proprietors very warm and helpful. The location was a great compromise to see the different areas of Glasgow; steps away from the University of Glasgow. Breakfast was very nice with eggs to order if desired. We needed to leave before breakfast on our day of departure and cereals, yogurts and juices were available.

The room was sumptuous, being large, immaculately furnished and very easy to spend time in on a cold Glasgow weekend. The breakfast room was again very tastefully decorated. Breakfast was great with a choice of healthy and indulgent options. The staff were always on hand and very friendly and helpful. The Alamo has for some years now been my guest house of choice in Glasgow. It has a wonderful mixture of comfortable luxury and a lovely and convenient location, truly a place one is always disappointed to find full. It has a loyal following and attracts many visitors from all over Europe and the US and no doubt beyond, guessing by the languages and accents I hear in the beautiful dining room in the morning. You won\'t want for entertainment technology here, if you want it, nor will you suffer if, like me, you come under the heading TROGLODYTE. There is a lovely relaxed and friendly atmosphere that greets you and continues throughout your stay. And what a fine location, with a wonderful view over the park and tennis courts to the wonderful Kelvingrove Museum, the Universitynof Glasgow\'s magnificent sepulchre looming above the trees up on its hill and within 5 minutes walk a veritable host now of interesting and good restaurants and bars. I am a frequenter of Sisters and more recently Rioja, a lovely Spanish/Catalan tapas restaurant. All are one block away in or just off Argyle St. Quietly situated off Sauciehall St, down Gray St, looking across the park, where you can always find parking if you have a car, this is one gem of a place in the midst of the great city. One to keep. You\'ll find it\'s one you\'ll always head back to.

The rooms are beautifully decorated with lovely antiques, and the walls covered with original paintings and engravings. All the staff at Alamo were helpful and were happy to answer our questions and went out of their way to accommodate several of our unusual requests. The concierge was even able to direct us to whom to call on a Saturday morning when both myself & my friend were ill and needed medical attention. Food was great and location very convenient. If I return to Glasgow I will most definitely stay here again.

We had a lovely stay at the end of August 2016. The owners, Emma and Steve, were unfailingly helpful and welcoming. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was excellent; many options to choose from and in a very pleasant room. The location of the guest house worked very well for us, as we wanted to be on the West End and accessible to the City Centre.

If you have read any of the positive reviews like I did about the Alamo they are absolutely bang on. I would really recommend a stay here , my only regret was two nights wasn\'t enough to see Glasgow. If you\'re lucky to get nice weather the Alamo is perfectly located .

We were made very welcome at the Alamo. Our reserved room was unavailable so we were treated to an upgrade. Fabulous tub, lots of space and a great bed and TV. We had to leave for a 10 day cycle trip and Steve and Emma, our hosts were kind enough to store our bags for us. Great stay and we were very glad we chose the Alamo. Location was excellent too- right across the street from Kelvingrove Park in Glasgow\'s West End.

Came across this guest house accidentally, as looking for somewhere next to Kelvingrove for a concert. From walking in, we were made to feel welcome and when we arrived back after dinner we met Steve who then showed us around the house, as we had commented on how much we liked his decor. Lovely, quiet place to stay. Ideal location for West End Glasgow, Kelvingrove and not too far to walk to city centre either. Lovely restaurants and pubs locally. Would recommend and trying to work out how to get time back there for 2 nights!

The location is fabulous. The hosts are friendly, kind, considerate, and helpful. The breakfasts are extensive. The rooms are very nice with very elegant furniture. The huge bathroom associated with room 2 is the most elegant bathroom I have ever seen in a B&B with a beautiful free standing copper bathtub. Best of all, this place is moderately priced. Could it get any better?

Great location: public transportation apparently easy but we happily walked everywhere we wanted to go (only 1/2 hour to amble downtown) So wonderful to be on a huge green space and right in the restaurant district. Great room: we stayed in room 1, on the main floor right beside the breakfast room. You might think this would be noisy, but it was extremely quiet...we were always surprised when we went to breakfast and found people already there! The plaster ceilings in our room and in the breakfast room are superb (gorgeously painted by the owner Steve.) Great service: lovely breakfasts with everything but the meats and scrambled eggs made to order. Potato scones highly recommended...not like an English scone, more like a cross between and potato pancake and a green onion pancake. Delicious!

It has been very carefully restored and is beautifully furnished. It is family run and all the staff are very friendly. Some tissues would be useful (particularly as we didn\'t have an ensuite, so no toilet roll!). Breakfast was good, but would be better if freshly cooked to order. The croissants could be better too. Perfect location for the sites and lots of excellent restaurants within an easy walk. My wife and I spent four nights at the Alamo Guest House over last weekend. Steve, Emma and family (including Flash the cat) were welcoming hosts. The house is beautifully restored, comfortable and full of character, the location both picturesque (open views over Kelvingrove Park) and convenient (just off the far end of Sauchiehall Street). The breakfasts were splendid. The Alamo proved to be the perfect base for our visit to a magnificent city. We would not hesitate to return.

Outstanding service and room. Outstanding breakfast with optional sides such as mushrooms. Very close to sites such as museums that you can walk to. We stayed in room 5, which is luxury room, and it felt like a hotel of luxury--my daughter, who traveled with me, refused to leave the room and see any sites, it was so amazing. The staff work hard to make your stay comfortable, and it was. As a single mother working there with a child, it was easy thanks to this place, that allowed us to check out late and bring food down to my daughter who was still sleeping when I left for work. Excellent and highly recommended. A great blend of old style charm, intimacy, and nouveau touches like lights circling our bath tub. Thanks much Steve and Ana for making our stay so special. My daughter didn\'t want to leave. We will return.

We had a family reunion in Glasgow & booked 3 rooms for the May Bank holiday. The house is beautifully situated directly on Kelvingrove Park. It has been beautifully restored & all the rooms are elegant, comfortable & unique. Breakfast in the dining room was convivial, relaxed & made to suit our needs. the coffee was excellent too. But it was the people who own & run the hotel that made our stay so enjoyable & memorable. Emma & Simon shared their local knowledge, gave us maps, vouchers for the hop on hop off bus, and tea in the dining room when we returned after a long day. On the last day of our stay, after I had checked out, my flight to Amsterdam was cancelled. Emma gave me access to her lap top & dining room so that I could make the necessary arrangements. But more importantly she was supportive & gave me tips on where to eat locally & less obvious places to visit. We will definitely return to Glasgow & book well in advance to ensure we can stay at the Alamo Guest House

I first stayed at the Alamo Guest House in 2011 and after a wonderful stay vowed to stay again on my next trip to Glasgow. Inexcusably it\'s taken me 5 years to visit Glasgow again, but the Alamo, I\'m relieved to say, is still wonderful. The house is an absolutely stunning Victorian house, in a fantastic and beautiful location. Steve and Emma are really friendly and welcoming, and clearly have a love affair with this beautiful house. The decor throughout is extremely stylish, sensitive to the building\'s age, tasteful but characterful. The bed was incredibly comfortable and bathroom lovely with a lovely stone sink. There is everything one could need in the room (tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer, towels, wifi, tv, dvd player, and toiletries provided - shampoo, conditioner and shower gel). Breakfast options are plentiful (tea, coffee, juices, fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals, toast, muesli and cooked items of your choosing). Eating breakfast in the beautiful breakfast room is a real treat, and the art by Ian Gray, mainly of Islay, in this room is also fabulous. And although I didn\'t have the opportunity to sample any this time, the guest house is a few minutes walk from lovely bars and restaurants on Argyle and Sauchiehall streets. Will definitely return...I just hope it doesn\'t take me another 5 years to do so.

Being a Scandinavian I\'m very picky with cleanliness, attention to detail & a good atmosphere. I\'ve stayed in places in the past where I didn\'t even have a shower as it didn\'t feel safe for hygiene reasons. The bathroom was cleaner than many restaurant kitchens I\'ve been in. Having had a very busy couple of months I made a stop here for the night on my way home & came home relaxed & energised. I had a very friendly & to the point welcome when arriving &, in their own words, \"Nothing is too much trouble\". Breakfast was a calm & healthy affair. They have something for everyone but less the grease & more the flavour you normally find in a British breakfast. Well worth the price & in a brilliant location. I\'ll definitely be back.

My wife and myself just completed a 5 night stay at the Alamo Guest House in Glasgow. We were in Glasgow to visit our son who is studying at the University of Glasgow for the fall semester. (He is an enlisted student at Centre College in Danviille, Kentucky.) We booked the Room #12 and were VERY happy with our choice of room AND the Alamo Guest House. Owners Steve and Emma as well as Victoria AND FLASH the cat made us feel very much at home, offering valuable suggestions about where to eat, tour, and visit. The breakfast was marvelous, and we were offered tea and cookies each afternoon when we returned from seeing our son. The room was very well decorated and spotlessly clean and well kept each day. The location is excellent, being close or short walking distance to any thing that we were interested in seeing or doing. The Alamo is very close to amazing restaurants (might I suggest Mother India\'s and the Butchershop---expensive but well worth the money.) Our departing flight necessitated us leaving the House at 3:00 AM. Emma was very gracious in acquiring a taxi that would be reliable in being prompt to pick us up. Not only was he very punctual, but very friendly (even if it were 3:00 AM). As we were leaving, we felt that we were leaving family members behind (NOT just our son, but Steve, Emma, Victoria AND Flash!!!!!!) If we ever return to Glasgow, there is no question as to where we will stay.

Great hosts, I had a wonderful time. Beautiful house (especially the ceiling in the dining room), and it\'s right next to a beautiful park that I much enjoyed walking to. If (when) I come back to Glasgow, I suspect I will be staying in this B&B again.

We loved the Alamo Guest House, it is central, friendly, comfortable and the staff are super helpful. When we came home each day it felt like home from home. I would definitely recommend it.

The Alamo is a such a well run guest house with a peaceful ambience and a very good breakfast. I recommend it highly. It is a family run business and the owners are friendly, accomodating, and professional. The location is next to Argyll road which has an array of restuarants and bars to chose from. Also it is only a 10 min taxi ride into town. The rooms are comfortable and i enjoyed my stay. If i visit Glasgow again i\'d stay there if possible but next time in an ensuite room with a double bed.

It has been a great pleasure to stay at Alamo Guest House. I felt like a welcome guest. The family and their staff are friendly and welcoming and do everything to stay pleasant. I felt lucky that I had chosen this guesthouse ideally located by Kelvingrove Park. I definitely want to come back before too long

We were made to feel most welcome from the moment we arrived. Our room was beautifully decorated with a centre piece of a large, comfortable four-poster bed. We slept very well in what is a wonderfully peaceful location. We didn\'t have ensuite facilities, but that didn\'t prove to be a problem as we had sole use of the bathroom. Breakfast was a plentiful buffet and served in a superb room- great start to the day. Our check out had to be extremely early due to train times, but again this proved no problem; we were given access to the breakfast room and kitchen area so that we could have something to eat before a long days travelling. Our over all experience? It was like coming home!

Started and ended my wonderful one week stay in Scotland with the Alamo Guest House. It epitomized the graciousness and welcoming treatment I received throughout my trip. The staff are wonderful and very helpful. The rooms and breakfast were great. The guest house is well located and easy for a single traveller to get around or find a good restaurant at night and get back to Gray Street through charming streets. I\'ll recommend to any friend going to Scotland to stay here.

I stayed 6 nights at the Alamo in 2 different rooms. Each was beautiful, a treat. I enjoyed the welcoming hospitality of the hosts - Emma and Stephen, the big breakfasts provided and centrality of the location. Great access to the museums of Kelvingrove, the convention centre and the city centre and would definitely stay again, Bob.
Reviewer: Mr. Bob Fonseca | Sun 13th Sep 2015
The Alamo delivers as advertised...and more. The location right on Kelvingrove park and the lawn bowling/tennis courts was a bonus - proximity to walk everywhere to see what matters in Glasgow was fantastic.
Reviewer: Mrs. Lori Teeple | Thu 10th Sep 2015
I had never stayed in such a beautiful and luxurious room. The service was excellent. The breakfast was good (maybe not as excellent as the room and the service, but very good anyway). The location of the hotel was perfect (close to the center, to the Kelvingrove gardens and museum and to a lot of restaurants) and the surroundings were peaceful. The quality-to-price ratio was wonderful. The only slightly negative issues were the absence of a free car park and the operation of the hot and cold water in the bathroom, which was too difficult. I\'ll be more than happy to recommend your hotel to anyone going to Glasgow.
Reviewer: Mr. Oriol Fuentes Masip | Sat 5th Sep 2015
Had a wonderful stay at Alamo Guest House. Perfect location walkable to the center and near the bus stops, but also in a quiet neighborhood near the park. The house is beautiful inside and out, and I was very impressed with how they decorated each room. Add the extremely friendly and helpful owners and staff and we could not have been happier with our stay and have already recommended the Alamo guest house to others.
Reviewer: Mr. James Lucas | Thu 3rd Sep 2015
The helpful owners have created a welcoming environment which is stylish, comfortable and relaxing. Lovely breakfasts. Normal size Simple shower gel and Alberto Balsam shampoo and conditioner was provided, but the hairdryer is not powerful enough if you require it for styling. The location is great, leafy and quiet, overlooking a park with free bowls and tennis facilities. Also handily placed for the first class, yet unstuffy, Kelvingrove museum (which is also free). Short walk to bus stop for Hop On Hop Off bus tours, which I thoroughly recommend for getting your bearings and packing in the many attractions that Glasgow has to offer. Plenty of places to eat and drink within walking distance. Do check out the owners recommendations on their website and factor in that you might need to stay longer than you think to do it all justice. Enjoy!

As a single female traveling through Scotland, I stayed in Glasgow for a few extra nights, and couldn\'t have been happier with my choice of the Alamo Guest House. The Guest House was situated on a quiet side street, which was much appreciated after long days of walking. My main focus while in Glasgow was art, and as the Alamo was a SHORT distance from Kelvingrove Art Museum, I was in heaven. The rooms were clean, Steve and Emma couldn\'t have been more helpful or accommodating, and breakfast was quite filling. I would have no problems recommending this place to anyone looking to stay in Glasgow, and if I find myself in Glasgow again, I know where I will be staying!

The Alamo was very comfortable, quiet, and well-appointed. The heated tiles in the bathrooms were a nice touch. The rooms are cozy, tidy, and well provisioned. Excellent and varied breakfast options were a nice touch. The proprietors are most accommodating, including making provisions for an early breakfast the day of my departure. The location is convenient to the University, public transportation, and many cultural and gastronomic attractions. This was my second visit, and the establishment has only improved. Highly, highly recommended.

We travelled from Canada to Scotland for a short trip to visit family for the first time. Our 6 month old did not handle the time change well, which meant the night we arrived in Scotland and stayed at this beautiful location, our daughter was screaming until 2 am. Much to our (and the other guests) appreciation, the room we booked (Room 12) was fully sound proofed which allowed the other guests to sleep undisturbed. This room is stunning, with a large soaker tub as center piece, a WC enclosed on one side, and a beautifully done shower on the other side. Along with the large bed and very high ceiling, there is a comfortable sitting area, and plenty of light from the tall windows. The buffet breakfast was delicious, the service was quite prompt and friendly. The next time we return we will be sure to stay here again!

There was a warm welcome on arrival. The room was lovely. We were advise that the rooms we booked were not ensuite. This did not prove a problem and the price charged reflected the fact. Breakfast was excellent. There are plenty of places to eat nearby. One small thing to improve it would be a well lit mirror in the room. (we stayed in 4 guest houses during our holiday and this applied in them all! Ladies of a certain age need to see to put on their makeup)

I\'ve lived in the Highlands for 25 years and Glasgow to me was an occasional airport and that was about it. Then, a new friend was walking the West Highland Way and suggested we meet up to see them off. She had spent 15 years living in Glasgow many years ago and suggested we stay at The Alamo. \'Everything about it is perfect apart from the name\'. So this was my chance to \'get\' Glasgow and I moved in for three days. Better than perfect thanks both the ambiance and the lovely staff. Vicki (y?) was just smashing. I came in fancy car but concerns about parking and security were unjustified and I found places easily outside the door. I was allowed to peep into the room my friends had chosen. Wow! That was really nice and different and when I come back with Janet we will definitely be staying in that one (and no! I won\'t tell you which one \'cos that\'s mine and it might get booked up!). I am back on Wednesday for a fleeting return. I can say that I now get Glasgow, it is lovely, and the where to stay. Actually the name is cool too. You\'ll never forget it. Chris Mair

The interior was spotless and very well presented, the staff were very attentive and pleasant to deal with and the breakfast was as good as as it gets. We would stay here again even if we were attending something further away in the city centre. A short taxi journey would still work out cheaper than most city centre hotels. The guest house is a beautiful restored Victorian located on a quiet street in Glasgow’s ‘West End’ near the Kelvingrove Museum & Art Gallery, MacKintosh House, and Glasgow University. Within easy walking distance are a number of fine restaurants, pubs, & bus stops. The city centre is a short 15 min walk. For those with a vehicle, convenient street parking is available alongside Kelvingrove Park, directly across from the house. A visitor parking permit was available to lessen the cost. Our host, Steve, was extremely friendly and welcoming and made excellent suggestions on dining, transportation, and touring options. The room itself was downstairs (below street level) with a view of the garden. It was attractively decorated and quite comfortable. Both room and ensuite bath were very clean. Very quiet for our entire stay. Breakfast was served buffet-style (nice selections) in the beautiful dining room overlooking Kelvingrove park. We hope to visit Glasgow in the future and will return to the Alamo. Highly recommended.

We booked at the Alamo guest house. The guest house is in a quite area, but walking distance from town and SECC where we were visiting. On arrival we were met by Emma who was very welcoming. The room was well appointed and comfortable. We had no problems sleeping. In the morning, Steve was very attentive and there was a good breakfast selection to choose from. I would have no hesitation in recommending this guest house to visitors to Glasgow. It represents good value for money.

You will find nowhere better than this for a stay in Glasgow\'s West End. The attention to detail across the board here is second to none. A beautifully restored building with a strong feeling of being \'home\' whilst you stay here. Nothing is too much trouble for the owners and their team. Can\'t wait for our next stay, we are already missing the view over the park to the Kelvin Grove Museum and the beautiful old University buildings A wonderful area of Glasgow. Leave the car at home it\'s great to walk to Byers Road and Gt.Western and public transport is good.Thank you Steve. Jayne and Mick stayed 29th December

We recently stayed at the Alamo Guest House and loved it. There were three of us (my wife and I along with our adult daughter), and we stayed in Room 4. It was perfect for us - comfortable and luxurious, with plenty of space. The home was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Our hosts were friendly and helpful, the location is terrific, and the breakfasts were excellent. There is convenient and cheap parking, and the free wifi worked great. There are lots of very good restaurants within easy walking distance. All in all, we couldn\'t have hoped for anything better, and I highly recommend the Alamo.

This family run guest house is the best B+B we have ever stayed in, and we have stayed in many throughout Europe.Tasefully furnished and decorated the work carried out by the owners has put this place in a league of their own, quality and comfort at a really good price. We stayed at this lovely Guest House, situated in a quiet street, for two nights, in a most beautiful ensuite room. Yet, within a couple of minutes walk, we were enjoying the buzz of a great city. The world-famous Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum was on our doorstep, other lovely places to visit within walking distance, various bus stops only a few minutes away and some great restaurants and pubs to choose from...so near. Steve and his staff were friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. Breakfast was tasty and delicious too. I booked this guest house for my grandparents for one nights stay last minute. When we arrived we were greeted by Victoria, a masters student who helped run the house. She was more than welcoming and a real pleasure to chat to over the course of the afternoon/evening, offering cups of tea, booking taxis, recommending places to eat and even lending us her umbrella. Of course we were introduced to Flash, a cat that was part of the family, he was lovely and gave is such a homely feel. The room was a delight, big in size, lovely ensuite, comfortable bed and warm in temperature. Breakfast was delious with a huge variety of choice. Steve and Emma are fantastic hosts, ensuring that every aspect of your stay is smooth and any issues that crop up (such as guest itinerary changes) are immediately resolved. The hotel is in a Victorian building which has been restored to its full glory with a lot of attention to detail, and has a lot of characger. The rooms don\'t have en suite bathrooms, but there is a sufficient number of shared bathrooms (modern, very clean, good showers) so that was never a problem. The owners and staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly, e.g. they provide cutlery and and plates if you want to use the breakfast room to eat a takeaway dinner. The location is very good, quiet but close to shops, bus routes and some tourist attractions. We were sorry we had to leave!

A warm welcome to two weary travellers to a fantastic entrance hall and then a spacious and lovely room from Emma and Steve. Even though the bed had been made up as a double because I got in a muddle when booking, they kindly saved my daughter from having to sleep with her wriggly mother by changing the bed into beds while we were out, thank you again for that! After a comfy quiet night we had a delicious relaxed breakfast before leaving our bags at the Alamo whilst we went wandering and coming back to a taxi booked by Steve to get us to the airport on time. A lovely atmosphere and kind and caring hosts, if we are back in Glasgow we will be back at the Alamo.

As a background, my wife and I spent two weeks traveling in Ireland and Scotland spending nearly every night in a B & B. The basics. The room and bathroom were immaculately clean. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was good with a nice assortment of fresh fruits, cereal, eggs, croissants, and anything cooked from the kitchen From the moment you walk in, it is clear that the owners have invested their lives and love into making this property more than an ordinary B&B. This old house has been lovingly restored to its 100 year plus grandeur. Strong proponents of greater Glasgow, they have great advice on, bars, restaurants, sites to see, and maps with directions of how to get there. The sitting room is warm and comfortable with a great view out onto the park next door. A wee nip of Steve’s collection of single malts was a fine end to a busy day of being a tourist. We booked Room 2 as a graduation treat (3 nights) and it was worth every penny. The hotel itself has been restored beautifully, the staff were very helpful and friendly, and the breakfasts worth every bite. The proximity to Glasgow University, restaurants and the park make it an ideal place to stay. The bathroom was also always amazing! A double size, sink into the floor circular tub, with wifi connection. I had a long bubble bath every night while watching Netflix. Perfect day to a day. I would recommend staying at the B&B again. The old hotel cat also added a certain amount of charm. The only thing missing was a bowl of sweeties by the front door :)

The 4 of us had a wonderful stay here for 3 nights. This is no ordinary place: it's as good as the photos show. Something a bit special, with this decor. One pair of us took a non-ensuite & were just fine with that: a choice of bathrooms awaited us each time. We were superbly looked after in all respects. We liked the open outlook at the front, off the main road, & the fruit salads at breakfast too. Thank you, Alamo!

Our stay was extremely comfortable and very good value - the rooms are great and well appointed. I am not so keen on not having an en-suite especially as I have a prostrate problem. Having said that the shower we did use was the best I have ever been in - only wish I had something similar at home! Breakfasts were also excellent. I would say the restaurants in the area are rather pricey - it is a pity you couldn't get something a little more like a snack. But the welcome you gave us was also really marvelous - I would stay again.

The Inn is lovely and at a very convenient location in town. So nice to be able to park just outside the building next to the park. The decorating in the common rooms and on our bedroom ceiling was great. We would definitely come back again and recommend it to others. The staff was most helpful and accomodating. As we made our plans late and to have an en-suite accomodation, we had to book the biggest and most expense room. It was very nice but had way too many lights & switches. The fancy modern bath accouterments which looked like fun just didn't work well in practice. Hopefully they can add more en-suites in the future.

The family was very nice and outgoing, offered us a big dvd collection as well as insider tipps of restaurants close to the guest house, breakfast was perfect, really would recommend a stay here, also because its close to kensington park with university and art gallery and in west end where you can find nice bars and restaurants, only short bus drive to city center, bus very close, good connection

very high standards of beauty, service, care and friendliness down to the smallest detail. I stayed in various hotels over the last months, but this is only one I can wholeheartedly recommend. The single rooms are inviting to actually spend time in, the dining room is beautiful, the breakfast is fabulous and healthy (local free range eggs for example) - and other caring details which make all the difference. The team really goes the extra mile to make you feel welcome. Very open for children.

Alamo Guest House is such a beautiful and quiet place to stay. Much more personable than your standard hotel, the staff here is very attentive to your every need and request. A very delicious home cooked breakfast is served buffet style in the mornings. You'll never run short of things to do in the area - all within reasonable walking distance. Even if your room is not an en-suite, the shared facilities are always kept clean and available. I never had a problem even when the house was fully booked. Gorgeous views of the park, University, and Kelvingrove museum. I will most definitely be returning here and sending my friends and family! Such a delightful experience!

My husband and I spent a lovely week at the Alamo Guest House in April/May 2014. The Guest House owners Steve and Emma were absolutely wonderful. They were extremely hospitable, warm and friendly! The daily breakfast of very substantial and delicious and set us up beautifully for our daily outings. At the days end it was lovely to return to our beautiful room and to Steve and Emma's cheerful welcome. The House is in a fantastic location and has beautiful views over the Kelvingrove Museum, University of Glasgow and the surrounding park. I would highly recommend The Alamo Guest House -- the only thing we didn't like--was having to leave and fly back to Canada! Thank you so much to Emma and Steve for the pleasure of your company and for a lovely stay at your Guest House. Sincerely, Dave and Joanne

Very good and extremely friendly owners. Scope for improvement with breakfast to replace boxed cereals, packets of jam and butter, thin sliced bread, lack of fish option etc discussed with the owners. Steve and Emma were lovely and very helpful in suggesting restaurants and bars in the area. Even treated us to a wee dram or too in an impromptu whisky tasting. Would recommend to others to consider if in Glasgow for convenient location.

The quality of the decor at the Alamo is very high and visually pleasing, which makes it a pleasure to be there. The staff are relaxed and friendly and I love the old cat who lives in the hall. The breakfast is good, although I would prefer coffee served in individual cafetieres - that is my only quibble.

Terrific stay at Alamo Guest House. Gorgeous location looking out over a quiet corner of Kelvingrove Park, near Museums and a variety of great West End restaurants. Free public Tennis Courts right across the street, and they lend racquets for free(!). Glad we stayed in West End vs Downtown, easily accessible by a short cab (cabs are cheap in Glasgow) or moderate walk. Steve, the owner, was a great help and constant presence. I chose a quiet room (#7) which was handsome and clean and quiet and had a shared modern bath but I never passed anyone in the halls even though the place was full. My friend stayed in Room #10, which has private bath but is right off the dining room and the sound does carry in the morning, so I am glad I saved the money on the room with shared bath. Highly recommended.

I stayed for one night at the Alamo Guest House before a business meeting at the University of Glasgow; my wife came with me to see Glasgow. Both of us enjoyed the beautiful decor, fine furnishings and antiques at AGH. The breakfast was tasty and plentiful, and the proprietors were very friendly and helpful (as was their cat, who greeted us on the steps each time we came back). The house is conveniently located to the University and the subway. All in all, a very pleasant stay.

This was my second stay at The Alamo which is situated in a very pleasant and convenient area of the city. My bedroom was a good size and very peaceful - well furnished and also had tea/coffee facilities. I had not booked an en-suite room but the bathroom, shower room and toilets were spetlessly clean and very modern. I enjoyed my breakfast which is a "help yourself" and there is a large variety of cereals, fresh fruit etc and also hot bacon and eggs etc. I think it is an excellent guest house, very well run and the owners are very helpful. I recommend it very highly and I very much enjoyed my stay here.

Fantastic B and B. The owners Emma and Steve provided a warm friendly welcome and even the cat had incredible manners! My single room was clean, tidy and had plenty of space. The shared bathroom facilities were spotless throughout my 4 night stay with plenty of hot water and bubble bath. Breakfast was lovely, Steve's porridge making skills were spot on and the fresh fruit salad was a delight. All in all this a little gem of a B and B - highly recommended.

We hired the entire guest house as a holiday let for our combined families including a couple of small kids. Location is ideal for west end and town. The house is great with everything you need for a comfortable stay. There was plenty of breakfast food provided for our first morning. The house was perfect for friends to come over for lunch/dinner to catch up too. I would highly recommend this guest house as a B&B or holiday let.

Do not be put off by the very reasonable price; this is an excellent small hotel with the quality and services normally expected in a large and pricey one. It is near the centre of the city but the parking was easy and, with the parking vouchers available, was cheap. The owners, staff and even the cat were all charming and helpful.

This is the second time my son(18)and I have stayed at the Alamo. This lovely Guest house was in the ideal location for our needs. We were made to feel very welcome. The rooms were comfortable, plenty to eat at breakfast. Dressing gowns available which were handy due to the rooms we were in, not having en suite facilities (which would have been the icing on the cake) We will most definitely be going back. I would have given 5 stars had there been en-suite.

Excellent value, very comfortable and clean and full of charm. Situated in one of the area's beautiful terraced houses on a quiet, paved street facing the park, it has a lovely atmosphere (run by a young family) and with a beautiful front room to relax, eat in or have a full and hearty breakfast. The location couldn't be better - in the heart of Glasgow's vibrant and stylish West End, right near the University, Kelvingrove, and some of the city's best restaurants and cafés. We've been several times now and always go back when we go to Glasgow.

We had the pleasure of staying at the Alamo Hotel recently and were treated with exceptional kindness and respect. The rooms are beautifully furnished and we felt like we were Royalty for the duration of our short 2 night stay. There was plenty of choice for breakfast and as much as you can manage and as they claim themselves 'nothing is too much trouble' The location of the hotel could not be better with plenty of eating establishments and museums close to hand. Parking could not have been more convenient just outside the Hotel for a nominal daily charge.I hope one day I get the opportunity to stay at the Alamo again in the future.

Well placed for Restaurants and about 10 mins walk from the Hydro it really is an excellent place from where to explore Glasgow while having a great place to come back to after a day on the town. The host Steve and his wife were exceptionally helpful and pleasant people that really made you feel welcome and at home. I was very happy with my four night stay. Alamo is quiet and homey. The Victorian building is beautiful and has been lovingly restored. Steve and Emma are friendly and helpful. My stay was during a less busy time and they upgraded me to a larger unoccupied room free of charge. Room 10 in the lower ground was cheerful and comfortable with a large flat screen, high def TV and a DVD player. There are over 400 DVDs available for use free of charge. The shared facilities were very clean. Breakfasts are made to order and the cage free eggs are from a nearby farm. I was visiting my daughter who attends the University of Glasgow. Alamo is a five minute walk from her student housing on Kelvinhaugh Street. It felt safe to walk at night. Alamo is right next to Kelvingrove Park, a good place for walkers and joggers. It has a nice playground with a skateboard section for older kids. In addition to the restaurants suggested by Alamo, The 78 pub sells vegan food and is a five minute walk from Alamo as is a Thai restaurant. The Sainsbury Local next to The 78 sells soy milk and tofu. Roots and Fruits sells organic fruits and vegetables, nice breads and prepared vegetarian foods. It is less than a ten minute walk away. I would stay at Alamo again and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who prefers a charming, quiet place.

Having stayed at the Alamo previously, I knew we were in for a treat. All of the rooms are well appointed with comfortable beds, period furniture and a modern TV and Blu-ray combination. There is an extensive library of films to choose from on DVD and Blu-ray (for those occasionss when it has to be total relaxation). The owners are very friendly and professional with a wealth of local knowledge if needed. This is an ideal place to stay for concerts at the SECC/Armadillo/Hydro as it's only a 10 minute walk away. Already looking forward to the next stay. Why not have a little luxury as opposed to faceless chain hotels?

I have stayed at the Alamo Guest House several times with and without my family and enjoyed every stay. Friendly and knowledgeable, owner Steve and his family have created an absolute gem. The common areas and accommodation of this Victorian town house have been beautifully restored and tastefully furnished with antiques. It's comfortable, clean and convenient. The breakfast, which is also excellent, is served in a beautiful room with stunning views of Kelvingrove park. It's easy to visit the city centre but in my opinion Glasgow's most adventurous restaurants and bars are to be found only a few minutes walk away on Argyle Street. I know Glasgow well and have stayed at many different guest houses and hotels there over the years. I have come to the conclusion that the Alamo is my first choice whether I'm travelling alone on business or holidaying with my family.

My girlfriend and I often stay in small guest houses and hotels in Glasgow and Edinburgh, mainly so we can go shopping, have a meal or go to the cinema, and not have to worry about travelling afterwards. This is the first time we stayed in the Alamo, we had seen it advertised before, but somehow over looked it. I am not exaggerating when I say this will now be our first choice for accommodation when staying over in Glasgow, in fact I will go as far to say that our choice of date to stay over in Glasgow will now be dependant on room availability at this guest house. First of all I made an error in my on-line booking with a well known 'last minute' agent, I called Steve at the Alamo to discuss, fearing that my booking would be unchangeable or cost me a deposit...Steve in fact rebooked me in a alternative room and advised me in detail what to do in future. Our room was beautiful, a perfect mix of antique style with all modern touches: large flat screen, digital shower, WiFi etc. The cleanliness and condition of the room was perfect, so much so that I booked a second night almost straight away. Steve kindly moved us to room 3, with its super king size bed...which was even better than room 11. The breakfast was varied and fresh - laid out nicely and the staff were very attentive to service. The décor throughout the house was beautiful, and for my girlfriend and I the finishing touch was the presence of the guest house cat, Flash. I love the west end, and this guest house is situated in the heart of it...but just tucked away enough to be free of traffic noise. I can see why Steve and his family take great pride and care in their guest house, it has a real personal feel, and is quite unique. I joked with Steve when I was leaving that I may not leave a review, as not to advertise this little gem of a hotel too much! but really this is the best 3* hotel I have ever stayed in, either in the UK or abroad. Thank you Steve and family. Best wishes, Stewart and Libby.

Alamo has a great location in Glasgow, a quiet street with parking, but close to Kelvingrove and a longish but doable walk into the city. It's also a lovely old house with super-friendly and welcoming owners. You couldn't wish for better. Remember to ask why it's called Alamo.

The Alamo is a lovely guest house full of character, we were greeted by a very helpful young lady who went out of her way to help and recommended places to eat. The room was clean and comftable, we did have a shared bathroom but as all the rooms on our floor had their own we were the only ones who used it. The location of the hotel was about 25mins walk from town (I am a slow walker) but there were plenty of bars and restaurants 2 minute walk away. Plenty of selection at breakfast. Would defo recommend.

The guest house is a welcome change to the usual charmless hotels that most of us stay in nowadays. It has character and a warmth that is natural no manufactured. Room was lovely and the satff are incredibly welcoming, they are literally welcoming you into their own home. Lovely area and breakfast was excellent. Thoroughly recommended.

We stayed for one night only and wished we could have stayed longer! Excellent parking, very welcoming hosts, very comfortable room (we were in room 12), wonderful breakfast. An easy 20 minute walk to the new SSE Hydro. We will definitely choose to stay here again when we next need to overnight in Glasgow. Far better value than any of the hotels, and it is in a very quiet area with easy access to art gallery, museums, concert venues and there are lots of excellent restaurants close by. The only issue (and I'm sorry I forgot to mention it at the time) was that I couldn't find a mirror near a power socket, so using the hairdrier was a bit tricky!

What a lovely find! Beautiful surrounds, lovingly restored building and an affable and helpful host. We had to move rooms for each of our two nights because of previous bookings, but nothing was too much trouble. Both lovely well decorated rooms. Not much bother the second night to use the shared bathroom facilities. Breakfast was a delight in the beautiful dining room with real FRESH fruit salad. The only time offered in our seven weeks of travelling in Europe. Friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended.

I was actually travelling with my son and daughter, aged 12 and 17 respectively - but we're closer to a "group of adults" than to a "family with young children"! Very positive experience - the guest house is in a fantastic location; parking is no hassle; and the staff are friendly and helpful, and treat you like individuals rather than as part of a 'process'. We loved the cat! I will definitely return to the Alamo next time we're in Glasgow. I'm fairly sure there will be a next time; Steve's sales pitch for the University seems to have taken effect with my daughter!

The Alamo was an excellent choice in the high quality of detail and lodging received and the hospitality shown. The location is in one of the prettiest areas of Glasgow, very walkable. I used this location to make day trips to Edinburgh and the Isle of Arran as well as to enjoy Glasglow.

Stayed two nights at the Alamo and we both enjoyed it very much. The room was clean, bright and quiet, with a comfortable bed. Although we had to share a bathroom, that also was kept clean, and we had a sink in our room. The breakfast meal was complete, filling and offered variety. The west end location was great and the staff at the Alamo was very informative and helpful with city suggestions. Excellent value.

Reaching Alamo Guest House through city traffic was relatively easy, we were happy with the parking space for our two motorcycles. The entourage was a pleasant surprise, my wife in particular admired the furniture. Welcome speech was pleasant, the service standard at breakfast was high. Conveniently located close to Kelvingrove Art Gallery (that we unfortunately could not visit due lack of time).

After 3 flights and 26 hrs travel time from Sydney Australia the welcome at Alamo was fantastic. A family run guest house with Steve, Emma and the kids and cat. We chose the location so we could have a days walking around Kelvingrove after our long flight. Bought the wrong power adapters for our Macs and Steve kindly loaned us one until we were able to purchase one nearby. A superb introduction to the full breakfast which kept us going until late in the day. An easy walk to Kelvin Grove gallery/museum and university nearby. A half day easy stroll will get you to the botanic gardens (both glasshouses a must see) and back via the Kelvin River walkway. You may take longer if you stop at the watering holes on the way. A wonderful start to Scottish hospitality. Thanks Steve and Emma.

We, 2 girls on a Scotland round trip, stayed for one night. We had a wonderful stay. Our room was a twin room with bathroom outside but that was not a problem. The bathroom was very clean as was the room. Great variety of food for breakfast. Everything is in walking distance if you don't mind walking for 15-20 minutes. The hosts were very helpful and kind. We would recommend Alamo Guest House to all our friends.

As always, the welcome at the Alamo was warm and friendly. Our room 12, was clean, cosy and had everything we needed and has been beautifully reappointed since last year. As the family were with us, their rooms, 11 and 4 were also excellent and everyone was delighted. Breakfast was plentiful and very well cooked, the service faultless. I fully recommend this guest house to anyone travelling to Glasgow. It is perfectly situated at Kelvingrove, easy access to the city centre and West End. Emma and Steve have worked hard to provide a first class service!

This guest house is a real gem it is well positioned next to Kelvin Park in the West End and only 10 minutes walk from the SECC. My visit went well from the moment I arrived to drop off my car and luggage until the minute I left. The owners are friendly and helpful and I was made to feel like a welcome guest rather than a paying customer. My room (2) was warm and comfortable and I slept really well. Breakfast was excellent. I will certainly return.

The setting is perfect for exploring the city, the building and its interior appointments are lovely, the breakfasts are superb, and the owners (Steve and Emma) are wonderfully funny and nice.

We stayed at the Alamo for one night as part of a longer trip around Scotland. The hotel is friendly, clean and comfortable and very quiet for such a central area. Breakfast was cooked to order and very nice and the Alamo has the added benefit of a very friendly hotel cat.

As our first stay in Scotland, our two nights at the Alamo couldn't have been more perfect. The location was central to everything we wanted to see, the parking was convenient, the room absolutely beautiful, the amenities functioned as they should and our hosts were perfectly congenial and helpful. We slept soundly and ate well. Our only regret is not having taken advantage of the invitation to participate in the Scotch nosing that was available on our second night. This guest house is great value - a real gem.

My family and I had a wonderful time at the Alamo Guest House, and were so impressed with the incredibly friendly and homey atmosphere of the place, not to mention the beautiful old house itself. Steve, his wife, and all of the staff were just lovely and very welcoming, whether when arriving after a long drive or first thing in the morning with our tiny daughter. Food was good, rooms comfortable, shared bathrooms stunning and modern, and location pretty ideal - all for a very reasonable price. Also really great to get to just chat with Steve and Emma about their own family and adventures in owning a guest house! Would absolutely recommend this place and hope to return someday.

The location is top-rate - The breakfast was wonderful. We can't say enough about our hosts Steve and Emma. Charming lovely people who have put their heart, soul and considerable imagination into the Alamo. Thanks to Victoria as well for all her care. At the Alamo every effort is made to make you feel comfortable. Every room is lovely but if it is in your budget you must book room #12. It wasn't really in our budget but I insisted on making our stay in that room the "room highlight" of our trip. Well worth the splurge. We will be back.

During our trip we stayed at five different bed and breakfast/guest house establishments and this one was the absolute tops. Our host gave us such a warm greeting and made us feel welcome and comfortable from the start. The room was gorgeous as was the entire beautifully restored and maintained guest house. Breakfast was delicious and a very comfortable affair with a generous and varied amount of food offered buffet-style. Our only regret was that we only stayed one night. Well done, Alamo Guest House!

The hosts were welcoming, the house itself shows evidence that it is a labour of love as well as a business, and the location was excellent. We particularly enjoyed being so close to the (grass) tennis and bowling greens. There are plenty of places that would not be able to deal with a change in the number of guests and a change of date before we even arrived, but not only did Aslamo manage it, it was the start of the customer service to come. It was no more of a problem finding us space to dry out clothes having been caught out the wrong side of a thunderstorm on the first day than it was to serve breakfast, whilst the rooms were spotlessly cleaned every day. Don't let the thought that it is a "little out of town" put you off staying here. The welcome outweighs the walk!

Relaxing atmosphere, very helpful staff, and convenient location. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed a very quiet, cosy and well appointed bedroom with very comfortable beds and an efficient heating system, a large, although not en-suite bathroom and the nice diningroom room with its wonderful view into a park. The breakfast offered a wide selection of items on an efficient self-service basis. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and the location was ideal within walking distance of the city and close to a large variety of restaurants.

The warmth and hospitality extended during our stay made us feel as though we were at home. The accomodations were comfortable and clean, the shared bath completely modern.

Great central position for exploring Glasgow. Lovely period decor. Our host always very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Comfortable rooms and nice touches like the dressing gowns in the room. Excellent range of food for breakfast. We would certainly recommend the Alamo.

From the moment we arrived (after getting lost and Steve directing us by phone), Steve and Emma were very hospitable hosts, full of tips and knowledge. Lovely room overlooking the park. Nice quiet street, but close to restaurants and shops and the bus.Made use of the wifi. We will be recommending Alamo to our friends. Thanks for the great stay.

Emma greeted us warmly after our difficult journey from overseas and she cleaned our room immediately so we could collapse and nap; then we were able to face Glasgow. It was a lovely room, a lot more elegant than we are accustomed to anywhere, but comfortable. The breakfast Steve made for us, including the porridge with soy milk we prefer, was lovely. We felt like we were taken into a family home, and indeed, having the two boys around helped with that comfort. Steve and Emma answered all our questions related to getting around Glasgow and finding what we needed. Couldn't ask for more.

I cannot recommend this lovely guesthouse enough. It is set in the heart of Glasgow overlooking Kelvingrove Park, one a quiet cobbled road. The common parts of the hotel (the reception, hall and dinning room) have been beautifully decorated and all of the original ornate plasterwork lovingly restored. There is a large windowed, warm sunny dinning room where a great home cooked breakfast (with healthy options for the faint hearted) is served. The room (3) was spacious with nice period furnishings and a really shiny clean modern shower room. I was there with my seven year old, who loved it. Lots of good affordable restaurants within a few minutes walk and a great little Sainsbury’s around the corner. A really nice, family friendly, boutique guesthouse run by a really nice friendly family.

It is always extremely pleasing when you find a place to stay away from home where genuine hospitality, pride in the environment, wonderful attention to detail, proper coffee, and good breakfast meets with the best location you could hope for on the park. This makes you feel utterly spoilt, yet thoroughly at home: comfortable, relaxed and welcomed. I cannot rate this guest house highly enough for all of this. With the added charm of a family really doing a great job with buckets of style thrown in... I say you could do no better at all than stay at the Alamo. Emma and Steve cater for all tastes I believe, and I would recommend their guesthouse to anyone visiting Glasgow in need of a place to stay. Thank you all there for a real treat.

We have sampled various small and large hotels in Glasgow when visiting our daughter. Here is an example of a business with the pesonal touch and warm welcome. The rooms are all unique and very clean. The dining room is full of character (as is the house). I would recommend staying here.

Our son is studying at University of Glasgow and we were lucky enough to find The Alamo Guest House the first time we visited Glasgow. This time we brought our teenage sons along and one of them stayed in a triple room with us. The service is friendly, the rooms are beautifully appointed and comfortable, and the breakfast is plentiful. We look forward to coming again next year and have already chosen the next room we want to try!

Our experience at the Alamo was perfect; we couldn't have asked for a better location, accommodation or hospitality. The owner even treated us to a whiskey tasting before we left, and gave us a great recommendation for a whiskey bar in Inverness. Will return, highly recommended.

Stayed for one night, had a family room with ensuite and a single with shared facilites. Rooms where spotlessly clean as were the bathrooms and had everything we needed, breakfast offered pretty much the same as most 4* hotels and my poached egg was cooked to perfection. Emma and Steve the owners were very attentive and helpful. I would definately reccommend and would use agian if visiting Glasgow.

We recently spent a couple of very comfortable nights at the Alamo. Great welcome on arrival and very helpful host during stay. Attractively furnished room, relaxing environment, quiet, convenient location and lovely breakfast! Ensuite was a little 'bijou', but well equipped and suited us fine. Overall, great place to stay.

We can highly recommend the Alamo if you look for a bit of Victorian flavour, peace and quiet within easy reach of the city centre, several fine restaurants within walking distance, a plentyful breakfast that leaves nothing to be desired, friendly and helpful hosts... and all at a very reasonable price.
